Boerboel Breed Care Guide
Comprehensive guide from our family farm in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico
1. Exercise & Daily Activity
- Adult Boerboels need 1.5 to 2 hours of structured exercise daily
- Long walks, secure yard play, hiking, and swimming are ideal
- Puppies under 12 months: Short, controlled play only — avoid jumping, running on hard surfaces, or excessive stairs
- Mental stimulation (training, puzzle toys, scent work) is essential
2. Feeding & Nutrition
- High-quality large/giant breed puppy or adult food
- Puppies 8–12 weeks: 3–4 meals per day
- After 6 months: Reduce to 2 meals per day
